Terms

The Bestoa Fund website is for 5k registration, fundraising, donations, sponsor recognition, and credibility information. It does not provide student applications or newsletter signup.

5k Registration

Bestoa Virtual 5k registration is open June 24-July 22. Registered runners may complete their 5k anytime between August 1 and August 15. Registrants are responsible for completing the virtual 5k safely and for using Strava according to Strava's own terms.

Race registrations are final and non-refundable.

Donations

Donations are one-time gifts. Most gifts use the tiers shown on the donation page; individual donors may instead enter a custom amount. Custom-amount gifts are not publicly recognized. The site does not offer monthly donations.

Merchant and Nonprofit Status

BFF of America is the Stripe merchant/recipient for Bestoa Fund donations and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Kutoa Foundation is also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner.

Checkout and Receipts

Payments are processed through hosted Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects payment, billing, and address details. Stripe receipts are used for payment confirmation. 5k registrants also receive a confirmation email with Strava instructions after payment is verified.

Recognition

Public recognition is enabled by default after verified payment unless the donor selects anonymous recognition. Recognition may include donor or sponsor name, company name, tier name, and sponsor logo when a sponsor provides one. Corporate and element sponsors may send logo files to toby@bffofamerica.org.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donation inquiries do not go through Stripe. They are routed to the Bestoa operations team for manual follow-up.
